Minor Child Guardianship
All Guardianships are handled in the Probate Court. When the Court grants Letters of Guardianship the estate of the child (the case) remains open until that child turns 18 years old unless the Court closes the case sooner for some reason. Minor Child Guardianships are not limited only to Grandparents. Aunts, uncles, and other family members can become involved; even non-family members can seek Letters of Guardianship under certain circumstances. What if you have letters and a parent is seeking to terminate them? If you need legal helping involving any aspects of a Minor Child Guardianship please call The Sims Law Firm first to see how we can help.
